Social Anxiety

For some people, few things cause an anxiety flare-up like a room full of people. It's best if the room is crowded, everyone is talking loudly, and it seems like they are all having the most wonderful time - all smiling and laughing.

For those suffering from social anxiety, this scene can feel like a nightmare. Studies show a host of negative outcomes, including challenges in peer relationships, reduced school performance, and lower work outcomes.

Compared to other types of anxiety, social anxiety is less likely to naturally go away on its own in teens and adults.

If you or your teen is struggling with social anxiety, shyness, or is afraid to speak up for themselves and let their true selves be seen and heard, it's time for you (or them) to recover their voice and their personal strength again.

Anxiety is treatable! Email or call - I'd love to talk through how therapy can help!
